| Domestic Violence |
Domestic Violence is an act of physical violence in the home. Domestic violence is usually perpetrated by the woman's partner but a woman can also be charged with domestic violence against her partner. Spousal abuse, assault, battery, threatening phone calls, stalking and intentional interference of communication are all domestic violence offenses in Arkansas.

| Assault |
Assault is the threat or attempt to strike another person. You can still be charged with assault even if you did not successfully strike the other person as long as they were aware that you intended to strike them. Of course, the accused must be capable of the assault in the first place. Assault does not require the physical touching of the victim.
Aggravated assault is an attack while committing another crime. An example of an aggravated assault would be beating a person while robbing them. Committing a violent crime such as assault and aggravated assault allows for criminal charges as well as a civil wrong lawsuit.

Battery describes the incident of striking someone on purpose with the expectations of harming or disrespecting them. Unintentional contact, no matter how severe, is not necessarily battery no matter how great the harm.

Vehicular Manslaughter |
Vehicular manslaughter is the crime of negligently driving a vehicle and directly causing the death of a human being. A vehicular manslaughter charge can result in the death of a passenger in your own vehicle if the death was caused while breaking the law.
Vehicular manslaughter can be charged as a result of Drunk Driving, reckless driving and speeding.
Vehicular Manslaughter can be charged as a misdemeanor or a felony. The charge will most likely be a misdemeanor if it was due to a minor crime. A felony vehicular manslaughter charge is the result of a more serious crime like Driving While Intoxicated or excessive speeding.

| Murder |
Murder is the intentional killing of a person with "malice aforethought" or, premeditated thought and the intent of killing someone. Anyone killed that gets in the way is still treated as a murder charge. If there was no legal excuse or authority for the killing, this murder charge will be in the 1st degree. 2nd degree murder is when the killing occurred without premeditation. All involved in both 2nd and 1st degree murder can be charged, not just the person whom actually caused the killing.

Fraud is the intentional dishonest act of taking someone's money or property. The defrauded party is entitled to file a civil suit against the person or party that acted fraudulently. The fraudulent party will also face criminal penalties which will depend upon the malicious nature of the fraud.
